Madras : A three-man study team headed by R. Elumalai, convoner of the Dalit Cultural Front, Madres, will visit Kanyakumari district and other areas of TN affected by the recent bloody RSS-Christian clashes. This decision was taken at a meeting convened by the Front here on March 20. The team will include a representative of the Muslims and Christians. The meeting, presided over by V. T. Raj shekar, editor, Dalit Voice, was attended by R. Rubin, representative of the Archi- bishop Arulappa of Madras, Barrister E. P. Devadasan, Rev. M. Azarich, general secretary, Church of South India, Synod Secretariat, Madras, Moulana Abdul Karim Parikh of Nagpur, Prof. Mir Jafar All of Bangalore, Ezaz Ahmed Aslam, Mustafa, Raju Thomas, Prasad, general secretary, State Bank Dalit Employees Assn ., and representatives of dalits, Muslims & Christians. K. Veeramani, general secretary of the Dravida Kazhagam, Dr. Dayanandan Francis, general secretary, Christian Literature Society, Madras, Dr. Johnson, Director, Gurukul Theological College, Madres, had sent their good wishes. The study team report in English will be printed and distributed all over India. Speakers at the meeting referred to the growing RSS threat to minorities and dalits and stressed the urgent need for unity of these three persecuted minorities. At the March 21 anti-RSS conference of the DK, Veeramani moved a resolution to condemn the RSS role in the TN communal riots.
