I and the entire Dalit community in America duely recognise your entire life’s contribution not only to Dalits but to all the persecuted nationalities of India and South Asia. With your dedication, Dalit Voice has become a household name throughout the world, at least in the English-speaking world.
As a life-member and a Dalit Voice family member since 1983, when I organized a protest against late Mrs. Indira Gandhi in Washington in July 1983 and subsequently on Aug.3, 1983, I was the first Dalit to testify to the Sub-Commission on Human Rights in Geneva sponsored by the Minority Rights Group of London I am fully aware of the historical contribution made by Dalit Voice.
Even at the mature age of 70, you continue to have fire in your belly for the causes you cherish in your life.
I, on behalf of the Dalits here in America wish to express our thanks and belated happy 70th birthday to you and to your family.
