The cancerous growth of Hindu communalism has created mutual distrust between Hindus and Muslims. It has created cynicism and a feeling of insecurity among Muslims, who have been receiving one attack after another for the last 15 months at Baroda. To combat communalism among the masses, the Vishamata Nirmulan Samiti and the Left Front of Gujarat have invited all secular minded and Left forces from different parts of India to Baroda and participate in the programme of staying in the poor Dalit and Muslim localities for five days.
