We were in Calcutta for three days from Jan.25 to inaugurate a well attended Dalit-Muslim unity conference. Calcutta was rightly called a “dead city” by Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi 20 years ago. During this visit we found Calcutta making rapid progress to become India’s most “stinking city”. The whole city has turned into a one vast garbage bin, even the once fashionable Park Street thanks to decades of manuwadi marxist rule.
Calcutta was once a beautiful city, the seat of the British who planned it. But thanks to the Bengali Brahmins, the most notorious among the Aryan upper castes and prime beneficiaries of the British rule, destroyed it and made it the country’s most chaotic city.
Having witnessed Calcutta’s rush to gloom and doom, we can now confidently predict that the whole of India will also go the Calcutta way.
