There is a new racket going on in India, especially Bihar and West Bengal. Upper caste people including Brahmins are faking SC/ST caste certificates and getting into educational institutions and jobs. I met one such person who was a Brahmin but now “converted” to Dalit-whether right or wrong. He said: “Fake caste certificates is no big deal. Even castes in the past were fluid. Many Sudras became Kshatriya, Vaishya and Brahmin and vice versa. Many of the tribes were included in the varna order. So why all this fuss. I know of many people from Scheduled Caste-who have a net worth of Rs. 100 crores and their children avail of
reservations. Caste-based reservation itself is a farce. So a farce within a farce is no big deal.”

Brahminical people can commit any crime but who can punish them. But Dalits if they migrate from one state to another, they cease to be SC. What we have in India now is not the rule under the constitution but the rule of Manu. As long as we don’t fight it out, the rulers will continue their highway robbery EDITOR.
