Brahmin – Bhumihar clash  

Gopalganj: The recent murder of Nagina Rai, former MP and Janata Dal leader, is due to caste rivalry. The arch rivals, the Brahmins and the Bhumika’s, had earlier decided to bury their hatchet in the wake of the violent anti-reservation agitation and work together against the Janata Dal. The fact is that Rai was a ‘ Bhumihar and the accused, Bachchan Choubey, is a Brahmin.
