Congratulation on your editorial of Sept. 16 1992. I firmly believe that the “time-passwala women libbers” will never, ever learn anything from your eye-opening editorial. Because they are not prepared to learn the truth.
However, this editorial, though directed against our dishonest women libbers, is also a stern warning to our own Dalit innocent girls to beware of the Aryan tricks. Without knowing the true Aryan colours, we will be repeatedly fooled by these bogus “feminists”.
Bangalore example: There is a “leading” women’s organization in Bangalore with well-funded, and well-furnished office in the most expensive area in the city. These women have staged many fake struggles for women’s rights.
Boozing and smoking are some of their proud achievements. They have some regular programmes against “dowry deaths” without criticizing the Hindu caste system. Though the “police news”, crime reports disclose the real causes of such dowry deaths with pictures almost every week, these women libbers don’t utter even a word against the culprits.
Male-dominated BSO: Still, they go on shouting ‘End dowry evil’. Why this hypocrisy? Because the dowry system is an essential part of the male-dominated, brahminical social order. So, all the culprits and victims are from Brahmins and other upper castes.
Once, these “fashionable feminists” approached me to “expose “Venkatesh, a Dalit MP from Kolar, saying that he had deserted his wife and son for the sake of a second wife, few years ago, the same “feminist” group had protested against Rajaraman, another Dalit leader. All newspapers gave prominent publicity to their anti- Rajaraman campaign demanding that he resign as the minister, The Dalit Minister’s career was sealed for ever just as it happened to Venkatesh who was defelted in the recent elections. The upper caste “feminists’ fully utilized Venkatesh first wife to character-assassinate him in public.
Dalits as target: When these “fashionable feminists” approached me for support from our Dalit organization, we put them a straight question: “Why are you not protesting against the debauchery and multiple wives of Hindu leaders? Why you target only Dalit leaders?” They stopped coming to us.
It must be noted that it is these free flirting Aryan girls who are floating such “feminist” outfits just to wreck the Dalit movement in India.
Aryans employ their fair-skinned women to finish Dalit leaders. Many of our Dalit intellectuals and IAS/IPS officers are finished by such fair-skinned Aryan sex bombs. Dalit poets, writers and officials are duped by the Aryans in the name of “secularism” and “casteless-society” slogans, Dalit Sangharsh Samiti, Karnataka’s most promising Dalit movement, was finished by the Aryans by making many Dalit leaders marry Hindu girls.
Plight of Brahmin women: Though these Brahmin women are also suffering terribly under the BSO, they will never say a word against it and in fact they will die to keep the BSO alive. We Dalits can learn nothing from these “time-passwala feminists”,
One who is fully aware of the Dalit history and our oppressors’ attitudes towards women, will never fall prey to such tricks – Aryan bluff bombs and sex bombs. All our Dalit goddesses and deities are found holding arms and swords. Many of the seals and coins found during the excavations have shown women carrying bows and arrows, even today, our rural women will take equal role in agriculture, Aachari women of Assam are known for their fishing art and Tirunelveli women are popular for their picking in the deep sea. Pure Dalit society: Exploitation of women is unknown in our Dalit society though the brahminical Ideas have started creeping into our pure Dalit society also. Our brothers must remember that the Aryans had enslaved us only after disarming our women. The same thing had happened to the Black women in US. If we have to fight for our self-respect and human rights, we should first leam to respect our women. Dalit/Black movements are therefore nothing but women’s liberation movements. Till our women get their due piece and honour. Dalits can never get our rights. Black woman created world: Till our women take part in the movement, Dalit movement will remain incomplete. We should be proud to know that it was the Black woman who created the world and it is the Dalit women who least the art of seeding and agriculture. It is she who had changed the nomadic society into a settled civilization. Lookatthe warning given by Dr. Ishakamusa. Barashango, a Black historian: ” For if the truth be known, from the very beginning of human history to the present, the creator intended the African male and female to run the world as equal partners in power and glory.”
