ATTACK ON PURI DALITS  

Purl: A quarrel between two boys belonging to different castes snowballed into an attack on 12 untouchable families by over 50 Hindus at Baunsiapara under the Nayagarh police station on Jan. 17. The police said the armed mob went on a rampage, ransacking and looting the houses of the Dalits. (Telegraph, Jan. 20)
