Arya Samaj Bid to Distort Indian History

New Delhi: Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar on Dec.24 inaugurated the 14th International conference of the Sarvadeshik Arya Pratinidhi Sabha (SAPS) here. A public declaration released at the function said it shall be the endeavour of SAPS to get the Constitution so amended as to Include. “Arya Varta’ as the original name of the country. (It defined “Arya’ as non-sectarian, an expression denoting no caste identity and a people of sterling character, noble and wise and with a glorious past). The SAPS will also intensify its struggle against attempts to present a distorted version of history of calling the Aryans as invaders and painting them as nonaboriginies of India and to declare such attempts as offences punishable according to law.
