The Editor of Dalit Voice, V.T. Rajshekar for the first time visited the Shiva Giri Hills, Varkala, near Trivandrum, where the samadhi of Sri Narayana Guru, the greatest saint of Kerala, lies on Nov. 28, 1991 along with Ambujakshan, Dalit Panther leader of Kerala, Raju Thomas and this writer. The Editor said he was for long dreaming of visiting this holy place which had become a world-famous centre of pilgrimage for all lovers of justice and truth.
But the Editor was soon disappointed on seeing the samadhi bearing the symbols of Om and ( Swastika, both Hindu nazi symbols. They were found all over the place.
Vaikuntananda Swami, the officiating priest at the samadhi, when his attention was drawn to the Aryan nazi origin of these dangerous symbols said ‘ they were aware of it. Hitler borrowed the swastika from Brahminical scriptures.
Ezhavas not Hindus: He admitted that the Guru was often tormented by the Brahmins who never allowed him to build separate temples for his community as they did not belong to the Brahminical social order. Ezhavas (Thays’s) being the original inhabitants of Kerala are outcastes, meaning outside the caste system & which today goes by the name of Hinduism. (See also DV Jan. 16 p.21 “Ezhavas form southern federation”).
The Guru not only fought against Hinduism but even said that he was not a Hindu. In fact, M.K. Raghavan, a top Ezhava leader, had once declared at a public meeting in Cochin, in the presence of the Editor, that he was not a Hindu.
But today, not only the Ezhavas are imitating the Hindus but working as the slaves of Hindus and that ” – is why they are being used by the BSO to attack ‘Dalits and Muslims. Vaikuntananda swami admitted all this and said they were well aware of the Hindu nazi designs. “We are fully prepared to meet this_’ ” danger. To this day the RSS could make no inroads into Sivagiri®, he said. But the Editor and his colleagues were not convinced of this.
Love of saffron clothes: The Guru, the Editor was told, never used Kavi (saffron) clothes. He always preferred white and only once used yellow. But ail the Ezhava religious leaders that we found at Sivagiri Hills were seen with Kavi clothes. We could not make out any difference between a Brahmin temple and this. The Editor recalled “\ that once at Trichur, he was asked to remove his upper garments as he entered a Sri Narayana Guru Shiva temple. The Editor refused to remove his clothes and bluntly told the Ezhava priests that they were following a Brahmin custom. He then walked out without going into the temple.
Vann Iyar model :He also recoiled his visit to the Adiparashakti temple of the Backward Caste Vannevar’s in TN. But in that temple, he found no trace of Brahminism. That is why the Vannevar’s under the leadership of Dr. Ramadoss were able to stand and fight the Brahminical forces. And that is why the Ezhavas are not able to fight these forces.
He also recalled that a particular .Ezhava religious leader, Nitya Chaitanya Yati, was giving lectures on the Gita in which Krishna had asked Arjuna to kill, thereby advocating violence. Not only that. Krishna, considered a Hindu god, also advocated caste system. Brahmins carry the Yati on their heads and parade him because he is trying to undo the Guru’s glorious work.
Why Ezhavas get defeated: In Kerala today, the Ezhavas form the single largest community but have hardly any representation either in politics, social, education or any other sphere. This is because the Ezhava leadership strayed from the path shown by the Guru, got corrupted by the brahminical social order and once again became slaves of the Hindus.
Barring R. Shankar, the Ezhavas could not produce a second Cheif Minister. What is the use of quantity which has no quality? The Ezhavas may today worship the Guru But what is the use of mere worship when they only killed the Guru?
That is why despite its huge population strength, the Ezhavas cannot win their battle on the Mandal Commission.
